In a tweet, Musk said, “My primary home is literally a ~$50k house in Boca Chica / Starbase that I rent from SpaceX. It’s kinda awesome though. Only house I own is the events house in the Bay Area. If I sold it, the house would see less use, unless bought by a big family, which might happen some day.”

This house has been fabricated by a company Boxabl in a factory. This house has an inbuilt bedroom, bathroom, living room, and a kitchen. The fabricator has provided modern utilities including fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave, built-in ironing center, etc. All the utilities are energy efficient to lower the cost of this house.

The company that has fabricated this house was founded in 2017 and providing portable and low-cost houses to their customers. The demand for tiny houses is increasing and the company currently has 47,000+ customers on its waitlist.

The cost of building a house is increasing day by day, and it is becoming difficult to afford to own a house for many people. Many people are taking interest in mini houses due to their lower cost and easy to set up anywhere. Many large companies are also providing tiny homes to their employees near their working sites.
